We work with landholders to deliver ethical, compliant pest control services and provide structured pathways for individuals to be involved in those operations in a professional and accountable way.
Is The Marksmen Co a shooting club?
No. The Marksmen Co operates as a professional service provider, not a club. Membership is administrative and operational in nature and exists to support training, compliance, insurance, and professional standards.
​Do I need a firearms licence to join?
No. You do not need a firearms licence to join as a Shooter Lite member.
A firearms licence and additional approvals are required only for members considered for Shooter Pro shooting roles.
What is Shooter Lite?
Shooter Lite is an entry-level membership pathway for individuals who want to support pest management operations in non-shooting roles. It’s designed for people who want to learn the industry, gain experience, and be part of a professional operation without handling firearms.
What can Shooter Lite members do?
Shooter Lite members may, where appropriate, assist in non-shooting support roles, such as:

General operational support
Shooter Lite members do not handle firearms or perform shooting activities.
Is Shooter Lite suitable if I’ve never shot or held a licence?
Yes. Shooter Lite is ideal for people with no prior firearms experience or licensing. Training and induction focus on safety, compliance, and understanding how professional pest management operations are conducted.
Can Shooter Lite members progress to Shooter Pro?
Possibly. Progression is not automatic and depends on individual suitability, training, licensing, operational needs, and approval. Shooter Lite provides a supported pathway for those who may wish to work toward Shooter Pro eligibility over time.
What is Shooter Pro?
Shooter Pro is the pathway for individuals who may be considered for authorised shooting roles within The Marksmen Co. Shooter Pro members carry a higher level of responsibility and operate within strict legal, safety, and compliance frameworks.
What does it mean to be an Authorised Person?
An Authorised Person is someone formally listed to perform shooting roles where lawful and authorised to do so, subject to:

Can I use my own firearms as a Shooter Pro?
No. All shooting activities are conducted using firearms registered to The Marksmen Co under the corporate licence. Shooter Pro members may only use firearms that are lawfully held on the business licence and issued for authorised operations in accordance with licence conditions and operational approvals.
Personal firearms held under an individual licence cannot be used for shooting roles performed on behalf of The Marksmen Co.
Can I transfer my firearms under The Marksmen Co?
Yes.
Firearms can be transferred onto The Marksmen Co’s corporate licence through the appropriate application process. Ownership of the firearms remains with you, but they are registered under the business licence and may only be used in accordance with corporate licence conditions and operational approvals.
What firearm categories are permitted under The Marksmen Co licence?
Firearms held under The Marksmen Co’s licence are limited to categories approved by WA Police for professional pest management purposes will be Category A & B only.
Are landholders charged for shooting operations?
No. Professional shooting services are provided at no cost to participating landholders.
Are there any costs for landholders?
Yes. While shooting operations are free, fees may apply for other services such as:

Humane trapping programs

Written pest control management plans

Ongoing monitoring, reporting, or deterrent strategies
Any costs are discussed and agreed with the landholder in advance.
